Great success for the third edition of the exhibition Digital Marketing First

The effectiveness of interactive marketing undoubtedly draws more and more attention of professionals like advertisers and marketers.

There were over 2 000 professionals present on the 23 October at Tour&Taxis for the third edition of the exhibition Digital Marketing First, formerly known as Customer First.

In 2007 there were also about 2 000 visitors, but the exhibition was spread over two days. In 2008 the exhibition drew the same numbers of visitors on just one day. Therefore we can speak of a great success.

This success is thanks to the fact that the programme was more packed this time, with over 50 workshops and international speakers. With the presence of over 70 partners and companies the visitors could enjoy themselves interactively to their heart’s content.

For the third time Digital Marketing First confirmed their position as the most important event for professionals in the marketing and interactive sectors in Belgium.

The late night event began with the Mixx Awards (Marketing Interactive Excellence). This award ceremony organized by Inside and IAB rewarded the best interactive campaigns. The ceremony for the occasion of Digital Marketing First was followed by the tenth edition of Night of Internet. More than 550 guests were present at the prestigious award ceremony and the party afterwards in the cellars of Tour&Taxis.

The exhibition was organized with the support of professional companies active in the sector such as IAB (Interactive Advertising Association), BDMA (Belgian Direct Marketing Association) and the Creative Club of Belgium in Tour&Taxis.

This edition was e great success thanks to among others the four sponsors of the event: Adobe, Ogone, Emailvision and Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions.

Write down in your agenda that the fourth edition will take place in Tour&Taxis on the 22 October. Over 85% of the exhibitors already confirmed that they will come back next year. With this we can make the 2009 edition an even greater success. Digital Marketing First is an organisation of the magazine Inside Digital Media (www.digimedia.be).

The exhibition audience is made up exclusively of professionals. The profile of the 2008 edition participants showed that 38% of the visitors were immediate purchasers and 6% of Media Planners were looking for interactive solutions. That means that on the whole 44% of visitors view their visit to the exhibition as a purchasing activity.
